I don't want to go to this party, either. Some silly military affair, it has nothing to do with us. House Karnach has so much to do with it, so of course Aes will go, and Raezi is keeping some secret or another for a special occasion, I can tell. But he'll be there.
Shadda doesn't want to go, either. I can tell that, as well. She isn't used to this. Not like I am. He's doing everything he can to ruin things between us, and I'm so afraid that it's working! And I don't want to blame Shadda, but -- if she could just --
I don't want to go, but mother won't hear any of that. I know she won't.
I wish there were some way to just make that stupid boy go home, where he belongs!
